Iran’s Leader Set for Talks in Kazakhstan

(MENAFN) Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will execute an official diplomatic mission to Astana, Kazakhstan's capital, spanning December 10-11, according to a Monday announcement from Akorda, the Kazakh presidential press service, via its Telegram channel.

The scheduled visit will feature high-stakes negotiations between Pezeshkian and Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, officials confirmed.

Bilateral discussions will center on expanding Kazakh-Iranian partnerships across multiple strategic sectors: trade, economic development, transportation infrastructure, logistics networks, and cultural-humanitarian initiatives, according to government sources.

Pezeshkian has also confirmed plans for an additional diplomatic engagement in Turkmenistan within the immediate timeframe, Iran's Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ali Mojtaba Rouzbahani disclosed Monday through a post on US social media platform X.

The back-to-back Central Asian visits signal Tehran's intensified regional diplomacy efforts as Iran seeks to strengthen economic and political ties with neighboring states.
